Fees & Transparency — What Freelancers Need to Know

At WellRecs, we believe in full transparency about fees so you can plan your freelance business confidently.

Platform Fees

WellRecs charges a 20% platform fee per job to cover platform costs and services. As a Founding 50 member, your first three jobs have 0% platform fees, so you keep 100% of those earnings.

PayPal Payout Fees

When you receive payouts via PayPal Business, PayPal charges a standard fee of approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. These fees cover PayPal’s payment processing services and are standard across most freelance platforms.

Currency Conversion Fees

If your PayPal account currency differs from the payout currency, PayPal may charge a currency conversion fee, typically between 2.5% and 4%. This fee is set by PayPal and depends on your country and currency.

Bank Withdrawal Fees

When transferring money from PayPal to your bank account, your bank or PayPal might apply additional withdrawal or transfer fees. These fees vary depending on your bank, country, and account type and are beyond WellRecs’ control.

We encourage all freelancers to check with PayPal and their banks to understand any additional fees that may apply to their payouts.
